Geto Stroganoff

Beef Goulash

1/2 1 pound bag of egg noodle
1 lb ground meat beef
1 cup beef beef gravy
1/2 table spoon garlic powder
1 pound fresh mushrooms or 1-2 cans drained
1 pks onion soup seasoning
1 8oz container sour cream
1 onion chopped (optional)

(you can take out onion soup mix and sour cream and just use 1 container French Onion Dip)

Start your rice or noodles to server under the sauce.

Brown your meat along with mushrooms, and onion add your soup seasoning. Add your beef gravy. Add your sour cream and allow to simmer on low. Try NOT to boil it. Once sour cream is warmed with the meat mixture, your ready to serve. You can serve it over your rice, or mix your noodles in with it.

This recipe was very easy and supper fast to do. This was something different for me to eat and make. I would have never thought to make this since its kinda like a Stroganoff- and I DO NOT like stroganoff! But I saw a recipe and it sounded good, so I changed it a little and tried it. Ecoever Dish Washing Liquid

please click title for more info

The Dish Washing Liquid is nice, since it dose not have a smell and cleaned the pots and pans nicely. I liked it the first few days of using it, but after that I was not impressed anymore. I did tell myself to keep trying it. So I did. I have days that I like it, but most the time my hands still feel oily and so does my dish cloth. I some times have too change dish cloths almost every time I did a load of dishes. I like my dish cloths to last at least the full day, before i toss it with the towels to be washed. Yes it is eco friendly! But no worth 5.00$, in my eyes.

When The Soul Mends By Cindy Woodsmall

I got this book with Paperbackswap.com. I had wished for this book almost close to the time when I finished reading #2 When the Morning Comes (Sisters of the Quilt). So I received the book from the site fairly quickly. I was sure lucky. This book was the final book to Sisters of the Quilt. I don't think this book was as good as the other tell the middle. I still enjoined this book like I did the other two. But with this one I wanted to ring Martin's neck! Kinda crazy how I wanted to reach in and ring his neck. I already new what was going to happen for the ending. But some of the middle parts you will have no idea!

I cant wait to read more from this Author.

Knitting~~Enterlocking Scarf~~

click on the title for the free pattern.

This is a very nice scarf. I saw it at the Knitting Shop here in town, and i loved it. So when I saw it as a free patter on Ravelry I snatched it up. So I sat down to start knitting it, thinking this is going to be way advanced for me. But you know something? I wasn't not at all. It did take me about an hour to understand the patter, but after that I was ready to go. So I caste on and started working. When I got the the turn part I was a little lost, but when you turn it you start a NEW ROW. AHHA I figured out the pattern. Every time you turn your work you start a new row. After that it was really easy to do. I just have to remember to count my rows!

Turtle Cake

Turtle Cake

1 box chocolate cake mix
Ingredients to prepare the cake mix
1 pound Carmel pieces (unwrapped if you can find)
2/3 can evaporated milk
1 cup chopped nuts (your choice)
1 cup chocolate chip pieces (you could use peanut butter)

Pre Heat Oven 350*F. Prepare cake mix. Pour half the cake mix in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Then bake in the oven for 15 min. In the mean time measure the evaporated milk, pour it into a sauce pan. Add your Carmel pieces the sauce pan. Allow time to melt. Take cake out of oven and pour Carmel pieces over that cake, then pour the remainder batter over that. Cover with nuts and chocolate pieces. Bake another 15-35 min. The cake may seem a little soft in the center. And that’s ok.

I got this recipes from a Fundraiser Book, you cant buy it any were that I know of. Anyhow this cake is really good! It is easy to make. As long as you have the carmel pieces with out the wrappers, other wise it takes forever to take all the wrappers off. That's when you get the kids help! I would only have them help you with mixing the cake, and taking the wrappers off the carmel pieces. This is a fun cake to make and to eat. I have yet to try it with peanut butter pieces yet.

The link below has a different verity of making this same cake

Dump Cake

Dump Cake

1 box cake mix (white or yellow)
2-4 cans pie filling
1 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped nuts your choice

Turn oven on 350*F. Open cans of pie filling, pour into 9x13 baking dish. Pour cake box mix over that (yes just the flour). Then pour the melted butter and the nuts over that and bake. 35-45 min.

I made it the other day with two cans one cherry one apple I put the apple on once side and the cherry on the other, but I think it needed more fruit for my liking.

This cake was very easy to do. You can allow your kids to help. You can melt the butter before hand int he microwave, and allow it to cool so that your kids can help. I used 2 cans of filling 1 apple and 1 cherry. I put one on one side and the other on the other side, so it was like having 2 different deserts. This would be a great cake with you desert. You could take it ready to bake when you get to your friends or family's dinner party. Or you can take it already baked off.

Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies

We have all made the cookie recipe from the back of the Nestle Milk Chocolate Chip Morsels, or even the Semi-Sweet. I personally prefer the Milk Chocolate. Well I made them this year for Thanks Giving and they were not as good as normal. Well maybe because my oven was not working correctly. Maybe because my taste are changing. Who Knows.

Horse Shoe Cable Bag

Cuzco & Peruvia Quick #281 Pattern #9 Queue
Photobucket

This was also the first knitting project I have ever done, so keep that in mind. I did find a few patter mess ups. It was pretty easy for me to do and finish. I did find a few mistakes in the pattern. it says to work row 1- 11st of the Rib pattern then 12 st in the Horse Shoe Cable twice, then 11st of the Rib again. But that will leave you will left over stitches. So you should work it like this, row 1- 11st in the Rib pattern 12st in the Horse Shoe Cable 11st in the Rib 12st in the Horse Shoe then 11 in the Rib. I also found this mistake. Row 2 the Cable pattern, also leaves off two stitches, so the last two should be p2 since the first 2 were p2 you should end with p2. Plus all even rows were started and ended with purl. I also only needed 3 hanks of Berroco Peruvia Quick (100g) the pattern asks for 4.
